The rainbow is a symbol of God’s promise to not destroy the world again. Seeing one in the sky is a good reminder that He is still on the throne, and He is faithful.

Now Satan and evil men want you to believe that it is a sign for perverts and heathens, but that’s just another day in a fallen world. The blind are easily deceived.

But not the slaves of Jesus; we that repent, we that believe, we the redeemed.

We search for purpose.

We search for meaning.

We search for feeling.

But until we find Yahweh, it’s all fog and weeds.

But you are a chosen family, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; — 1 Peter 2:9

I dread the dead winter months as I age, but I’m always excited when summer breaks.

The cool mornings and wet grass let me know it’s almost time to enjoy long sleeves, warm bread, and hot coffee regardless of the hour.

My mouth is watering now, so I’m gonna go cut a slice, sit in front of the fireplace, and enjoy a fresh cup while it’s 59 degrees out.

Aging isn’t always creaky joints and sore muscles. It has its perks too.

Sometimes there’s a vista that stops you in your tracks and pulls you out of your head. This green storm was one of those moments that was briefly here and then suddenly gone.

Our lives are the same, and our purpose is to repent before time rolls over us. You have to be present to catch the moment before it blows by.

This is the moment God give us to repent. May we live long enough to find the end of ourselves, submit to Jesus, and build some memories worth sharing.

“For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone who dies,” declares Lord Yahweh. “Therefore, turn back and live.” — Ezekiel 18:32

I woke to thoughts of stewardship and grass trimming because Coco the French Bulldog wants to poop between the road and our yard while Melissa keeps nudging me to knock it down before some tall grass pokes her in the eye.

Then Coco reminded me of a buffalo as she tried to taste everything in the yard instead of taking care of business, and I said to myself, “I’ve seen this before.”

Moments later I had poop in the bag, photo on the PC, coffee in my cup, and another story to share for the day. Win win. The photo was shot with my iPhone 13 in the Badlands when we visited three years ago.

As each one has received a gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. — 1 Peter 4:10

There is a specific time of year that will bring a tear to your eye regardless of how tough you are. I’m talking about a sunrise that hovers just over the road as you drive into it. It had me squinting like I was peeping through the glass on the set of Oppenheimer during the big test.

I was fortunate that the camera was able to capture the essence of the experience. Imagine seeing Yahweh with mortal eyes like Peter, James, and John did during the transfiguration. Just blasting you with His glory.

And He was transfigured before them; and His face shown like the sun, and His garments became white as light. — Matthew 17:2

Finding a photo for the day was becoming difficult, so I hung the camera around my neck and took it everywhere I went. Coco thought it was just another potty outing until my wife asked me to capture an unscripted selfie.

She got a pic for her company newsletter, Coco got an extra snuggle, and I got content for the story rep. I suppose there is wisdom in saying that success happens when preparedness and opportunity meet.

You husbands in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with a weaker vessel, since she is a woman; and show her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered. — 1 Peter 3:7

Being somewhat derailed by a scenic view and the smell of fresh baked sourdough, I got a restful but late start on the garage cleanup project as I munched on a loaf while gazing through the sliding glass door.

Then I remembered to get the photo, which was my 3rd win of the day. But enough lounging about. See you tomorrow!

I’m trying to work on improving my eye for light, but it’s been nothing but hot and dry until the Lord sent blessings from heaven over the Kansas prairie.

The scene eventually presented itself through the window, and then all I had to do was go outside and use the corner of the house to block the blazing ball of fire that’s been cooking us for the last month.

and yet He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good and gave you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling your hearts with food and gladness. — Acts 14:17
